Opportunities for Teachers and Students Interested in Computer Science
We are hoping to connect with teachers in Muskegon County that teach technology-based courses and are willing to part of our initiative for West Michigan Tech Talent. This initiative started as a collaboration in the Grand Rapids area that joined local employers, education providers and workforce experts in growing the base of West Michigan students in the field of computer science.
We are intentionally reaching out to you, Muskegon County computer science teachers, and offering an opportunity to apply for funding with computer science based projects at your school.
Funding for Summer and Fall 2018 Projects - Apply
In addition, Code.org is offering a 5 day summer professional learning for teachers willing to teach middle or high school courses. If an administrator in your building is willing to commit to offering either Computer Science Fundamentals, or Computer Science Principals (can be taught as AP) then your training is FREE! (It will most likely be held in Grand Rapids)
Code.org 2018-19 Middle and High School Professional Learning - Apply
There is a good chance we are not aware of all the teachers interested in this work, so if you know of anyone who could benefit, please forward this along!
